YOUNG AFRICANS SC ARE THE 2025 TANZANIA COMMUNITY SHIELD CHAMPIONS

 

Dar Young Africans (Yanga SC) have defended their Community Shield title after beating archrivals Simba SC 1–0 in the 2025/26 season opener.

It marks the second consecutive triumph for Yanga, who also lifted the shield in the 2024/25 season with the same scoreline against Simba.

This time, Ivorian forward Pacome Zouzoua struck the winner in the 54th minute, sealing victory for the champions.

Despite Simba’s dominant play and numerous attempts on goal, Yanga’s defense stood firm. Goalkeeper Djigui Diara produced a stellar performance, pulling off multiple saves and keeping a clean sheet to secure the trophy.
