BETWAY IS A NEW MAIN SPONSOR OF SIMBA SPORTS CLUB

A football club in Tanzania, Simba Sports Club, has secured a new main sponsor, a betting company known by the name Betway.
The betting company has signed a three-year sponsorship deal to become the club's main sponsor starting from the 2025/26 season to the 2027/28 season.
This comes after M-Bet, which had been Simba’s sponsor since 2022, terminated its contract with the club, which is currently ranked number five in Africa in terms of performance.
Previously, M-Bet had entered a five-year sponsorship agreement with Simba, set to run from 2022 to 2026. However, the two parties encountered disagreements and decided to part ways.
THE NEW SPONSOR
Betway has signed a three-year contract with Simba Sports Club, and officially, Simba will now be wearing jerseys with the Betway logo on the chest starting from the 2025/26 season, until the company steps down from the main sponsorship role.
Additionally, the company has committed 20 billion Tanzanian Shillings for all three years, to be paid in three installments for each season.
The company and the club have also agreed that various bonuses will be provided by the sponsor whenever the team performs well in competitions. The bonuses will depend on the club’s achievements.
Despite being the main sponsor, Betway will not restrict Simba SC from having other sponsors, including advertisements for Mo Dewji’s businesses, which are owned by investor Mohamed Dewji, who holds a 49% stake in the club.
